Infinity Blade 2 - Award Winning iOS Game Review (Video)

Infinity Blade II (by Chair Entertainment), iOS universal, picks up where Infinity Blade left off, with the death of the God king in another epic 3D weapon fighting game. Having already looked at the iPad version, we decided to dive into the iPhone version of this soon to be award winning game. The gameplay is immersive, and other than one painful initial issue, Infinity Blade II on the iPhone, is one the best iOS games to date — hands down. First, my one painful issue: as mentioned in an earlier blog post, I had a problem with the app not recognizing my in app purchases, to the tune of around $15 total after my first death in the game. Besides that, all my experience was cleared out as well. However, this issue has apparently been resolved in an update, but if you had a problem, I suggest you call Apple. I called and told them what the issue was and they credited me for the lost in app purchase amount (in full), without any pain, thank you very much, Apple. Now, with that out of the way, let me clue you into this game and how even after completing the game 1x already, I am still playing — well addicted, I guess is what you’d call it. Here are some bulleted new features that rock:

-New weapon game modes: heavy, dual, and classic or traditional (sword and shield)
-Huge storyline with lots of replayability
-No more selling weapons, unless you have 2 of a weapon and you must always keep 1
-Gems are what you want to sell and these can be used to forge “kick ass” and powerful weapons
-Worker of Secrets is no friend (spoiler alert)
-Rare prize wheel adds a bit of Call of Duty to this game and has me hooked

I tweeted up Mark Rein, Vice President and Co-Founder of Epic Games and he told me some great things are still in store for Infinity Blade II, like the Clash Mobs feature, which will allow for online player gaming. Infinity Blade II is a gaming masterpiece for the iOS platform and I think big, big things are on the horizon for this title series, to include Infinity Blade III.
