Score touchdowns as the ball carrier and tackle ball carriers (in the 2nd version of the original Backbreaker Football iPhone game) – Backbreaker 2: Vengeance for the Android. This arcade-style, football Android Sports Game app features several game modes and is a blast to play on the iOS platform, but Android users will want to avoid this game — and it’s $2.99 price tag due to some serious crash issues. Backbreaker 2: Vengeance is a Top Rated iPhone game, unfortunately we cannot report the same for the Android version of this game. The Android version starts out playing as most Android games do in comparison to iOS apps — which is slower. However, this Android game just fails due to a freeze or crash that makes the game unplayable.
I played through several levels in both game modes (Endurance and Challenge) and in both modes this game froze, requiring me to go into application to force stop the game. While this is unacceptable for even a free game, this game costs $2.99, which is weird since the same game for the iPhone only costs $0.99. I then removed the app as the NatualMotionGames developers mention in the Android app description, however, this did not solve the problem. I played some more, this time for longer in Tackle Alley, but once I entered Vengeance gameplay (where you play as the tackler), after only 1 level the game froze.
Until NaturalMotionGames fixes this app, it is a crapshoot as to whether this Android Sports Game app will work on your Android device or not. I tested the game on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the Jellybean 4.1 OS.
