Bubble Grubble (by Fan Studio) is a FREE, iPhone and iPad game that challenges your mothering abilities to feed your baby birds throughout the 80 levels and 2 difficulty modes using only bubbles, stones and bombs. This indie-style casual game takes advantage of the iPhone and iPad technology with both tap/swipe gestures and the use of the accelerometer. The gameplay is unique in that you are a doting “Mother Bird” that needs to feed her baby chicks their tasty bug morsels. You find the “Pac Man” looking bugs moving quickly along the ground where you tap to shoot them with a bubble in order to capture them (enclose a bubble around them). At this point, you then tilt your device to maneuver the bug-filled bubble to the awaiting hungry baby birds. This is does not sound that challenging, however, each level is a challenge against the clock where you’re trying to complete each level as quickly as possible.
There are 3 stars to earn for each level and so far I have gotten only 1 on a few — very tough. Your mother bird will also have to navigate past crab-type monsters that are trying to smash your bubbles, other monsters, as well as objects like glass, wood and concrete that keep the bugs away from her. Fortunately, there are stones and bombs to get rid of the wood, glass and concrete, but as for the monsters, you’re just going to have to avoid them. The game features 80 overall levels with an Easy and Hard difficulty modes. There are also bonus levels where your goal is to hit the mischievous fast-moving bug to score as many points as possible in the time given.
Bubble Grubble is fun, uniquely challenging, indie casual game that has quite a bit of level gameplay (40 levels) for each difficulty mode. The game is FREE for the first 10 levels and if you can’t get enough, you can purchase the remaining levels for $0.99 through in app purchase. See how capable your mothering abilities are. You can try this game for FREE and if you like it, easily purchase the remaining levels. Be sure to watch the iPhone video app demo for a complete look at this iPhone and iPad games application.
