Chibi Fortune – Entertaining Anime and Manga Know It All

Chibi Fortune (by Dodomeki Inc.) is an Entertainment app featuring an Anime & Manga Chibi wizard character that will entertain you with “Yes” or “No” answers, as well as some other evasive answers for all your important (and not so important) life questions. It makes me think back to my younger days and the ever popular “Magic 8-Ball” — I’m sure some of you remember this. This silly Americana entertainment icon was the “goto” item for inquiring about all those really important questions perplexing my young mind, like “Does Susie like me?” or “Will I get the super GI Joe with karate grip?” Chibi Fortune is a new, more modern version of this question and answer entertainment.

You may be asking yourself what Manga and Anime are. An overly simplified explanation would be that Manga refers to a type of comics created in Japan and Anime is primarily known as Japanese animation/film — and the Chibi refers to the “small” childish girl. The big-eyed Anime & Manga chibi girl provides you with random answers to your yes and no questions. The answers are not always what you want to hear nor are they always definitive either — but that’s part of the fun. You’ll also see some funny animations (at times) when your wizard becomes tired of answering questions, such as when her eyes turn into pinwheels and spin around, followed by a text bubble that explains her feelings.

In addition to the question and answers, there is also a little mini game to determine if you have “psychic” abilities based on how well you play in this entertaining guessing game, where you have 4 different fruit above a package and have to correctly guess the fruit contents of the box through 15 rounds. A wise owl is appropriately standing by to deliver a wise saying after a determination is made on how well you did.

This entertainment app provided me with a good bit of fun while making the video and getting answers to my important, mundane and just plain stupid questions. I was hoping most of my answers were going to be a little more on the positive side. However, the biggest question that I asked got a non-committal answer, which was “Will I get a new MacBook Pro?” — which keeps my hopes alive for the 15″ Retina Display beauty. While this app may appear not to be for everyone, it is family-friendly — and all-in-good natured fun. If you’re looking for a new and modern replacement for the Magic 8-Ball, look no further than Chibi Fortune.
