Each door provides a bit more of the humorous elf story, games, brain teasers all featuring handcrafted original graphics and art along the way. This game does have advertisements, which the developer is very up front about. You can either buy off the ads in the app or purchase the paid version called The Elf Adventure Full for $0.99. This free Christmas Countdown Calendar entertainment app is a great value and offers lots of original elf-themed Christmas fun for the whole family.

Elves and daily games, what a great way to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holiday with the Christmas Countdown Calendar: each day with 16 fun, interactive puzzles for FREE — all within an Android app. Christmas Countdown Calendar is the FREE version of Elf Advent(ure) Calendar Full, by Dancing Squirrel. The FREE version allows for 16 days of Advent doors being opened on the virtual Advent calendar with a fun, new puzzle to be completed. Each door opened provides a short interactive puzzle/game where you help an elf do something Christmas related, all wrapped into a Christmas poem.

The only confusion I had with this application is that there wasn’t any sound while I was using it. I did some basic trouble shooting, but in the end couldn’t turn on any sound interaction – so not sure if sound comes with this application or not. It’s really weird if it does not, and if it does it’s a fail on my Droid X 2. Either way, this fun, interactive takeoff on the Advent calendar is an awesome way to stay jazzed up about Christmas daily.
