Colorize – A New Look For Your Photos, Mac App Review

Colorize is a simple application for the photographer of any level because it can easily make an ordinary photo into a statement. This is done through making the entire image B & W and then selecting areas to add color to. While this may sound like a daunting process at first, the developer has made it extremely easy to do. Once you open up Colorize you drag a photo into the space that says “Drop here to get started”, and from there the program converts your photo in full B & W. Once this is done in about 2 seconds, you can start adding color through the use of an adjustable-size brush. What it’s really doing is adding the original color back in, by doing so the colors don’t come out different or distorted. If you don’t feel like you stayed 100% in the lines, don’t worry, there is also a Gray Brush to undo any mistakes you could have made. The result is like the mushroom I edited shown above. With these easy to use and intuitive tools, I finished my edit in about 2 and a half minutes. I recommend this to any photographer who would like to add a little, or take a little, color from their photos. 5/5 in all categories because of how easy it is to use and how functional it is. I would like to thank the developer, Robin Guldener, for providing me with a promotional code so I could review Colorize. Tswmcello
