This app is simple to use and has a very fast response time and the user interface (UI) is very “user friendly.” The coolest feature of the update is the automatic Twitter updates that are placed on the Google Map of each and every earthquake that someone Tweets about. For example there was a 5.0 earthquake in Chile today at 8:13am EDT, and when this earthquake is pulled up there are 5 active tweets geo tagged near the epicenter (now that is cool).

The addition of GEO tagged Tweets sets the Earthquake iPhone app apart from all other earthquake iPhone apps. You can receive Twitpics, url links to the USGS, and any other link. Essentially, you can get breaking information about earthquakes right on your iPhone app, before any news outlet does. The world is becoming smaller, or at least more accessible ala’ the iPhone and app’s like this one.
