ElfYourself by OfficeMax – Funky Free Christmas App (Video)

ElfYourself by OfficeMax lets you “Elf Yourself” and up to 4 others with this free iPhone Christmas app, then get down to a funky hip hop Christmas song. I remember the first time I “Elfed” myself back in 2006, and I must say it was pretty funny. This iPhone Christmas app goes a bit on the edgy side featuring a hip hop music rendition of a classic Christmas song “Elf Yourself” style.

The Entertainment app works well, but there is some weirdness when adding photos to the elf faces (up to 5). The app goes from landscape (horizontal) to portrait (vertical) screens while doing this, which is a bit strange, but once you get used to it you’ll move on. I added 5 CrazyMike’s heads and then watched them get down to the only free song that comes with the app.

Honestly, I would have preferred a classic Christmas song, and I find it a bit weird that of all businesses, OfficeMax went all hip hop. There are other songs you can purchase for $0.99 a piece to create different Christmas ElfYourself videos.

This app is free, however, there is a paid version similar to this app called Super Dance Elf Christmas with Friends that costs $0.99 and is very similar to this free app.

    I only get three of the elves in the hip hop song. Do you know if any of the other songs show all 5? The app words it like you have to buy the $.99 songs every time you make a new video.

      You should be able to get all 5, but you have to keep adding photos with the camera or from your photos. They did an updated on 12/14/12 you may want to make sure your app is updated.

      No does not appear so, I put a link for a website, not that this is what you want :( but you should be able to get it to work on your Android Browser :)

    Yes, it is not there, but go to the website from your Android browser and you should be able to make one on your Android using the web address elfyourself.com.

    I can’t get the finished dance to load either to save or upload to Facebook. It just sits there and says your video is being prepared or something like that.

      Hey,

      after you make the video, you have to save. It prepares the video at this time and when you email it or post to Facebook it has to prepare it again.

      Depending how long your video is and version of your device (processor speed) will determine how long this will take.

        It’s a Ipad (last version) and seems to run fine. If I could figure out how to delete the whole program, reboot and install it again I would try that. I’ve tried saving it and it just sits there and does nothing. The status bar never moves.
        It’s neat software and I want to surprise someone with a video. I didn’t download any of the other dances or anything, it’s just the basic elfyourself.

          To delete the app just hold down on it until a X shows on the top right of the app, tap on the X and the app will be deleted, along with everything in the app.

          You can also delete the app by connecting to iTunes.
