KiKORiKi – 2 Heroes In 1 – Android Platform Game

KiKORiKi is an Arcade & Action platform game that takes a combined effort of a rolly polly super hero and 2 personalities to defeat the variety of enemies throughout the 3 unique puzzling chapters. This playful platform game for the Android features 2 heroes with special abilities wrapped into one body: Rosa (pink and leaping) and Wally (purple and climbing). The game starts in a strange land called Kikoriki and will eventually lead your hero(es) into the city of Megalopolis before it’s all over.

Your enemies are not what you would expect: there are butterflies, armadillos, and other not so mean creatures who are your opponents in this game. You must jump on your enemies in this game to take them out (and be sure to get them before they get you) — don’t be fooled by their unassuming looks — even though they don’t look scary they want to kill you. Your goal is to complete each level’s objective, which changes continuously. Some levels require defeating all of an enemy, crushing all rocks, or just finding your way to the end. In all levels you will maneuver your way up floating land platforms, avoid pits, and jump around while trying to reach your objective.

Your 2-in-1 hero has some benefits. Rosa and Wally both have a superpower, which can be activated once you gather enough stars. There are also flowers to gather for points and big gold medallion checkpoints to activate to save your progress. During my testing I found the virtual joystick a bit hard to use causing me to repeatedly have to keep moving it to keep my character in motion, this also made it more difficult to jump at just the right time. The superpowers for the heroes are a bit unusual, and if you cannot figure out what they do, turn on the “tips on” in the settings to have helpful prompts during each level. Overall, KiKORiKi is a fun platform game with great music and characters, but needs a few control tweaks to make it really awesome.
