The Man of Steel game is the official companion marketing app for the hit Hollywood motion picture, Man of Steel. Yes, another Superman movie! This Superman game is an action fighter beat down game. You (Superman/Good Guy) fight against Zod (Bad Guy, Jerk) and his evil forces. There are 2 game modes in this Man of Steel game, Story and Survival. Both use basic tap-to-dodge, block, and swipe-to-hit gameplay. And gameplay takes place in a variety of awesomely designed 3D locations. There is a character upgrade system as well as special ability upgrades. You can also unlock several Superman suits, but this comes at a price.

The fighting action is decent to good, but overall this app is an over-priced Games app. Warner Bros. created a good game to grow excitement around the new movie, but the price is not worth it. And actually, the app moves away from just being a marketing tool to becoming a product that takes advantage of the movie’s excitement. There was a day when apps like this Man of Steel Game were free-to-play, with in app purchases. Now, this game is pay-to-play with in app purchases.

Overall, the Man of Steel HD is a fun fighting game, but it suffers from a lack of depth for the price of the app and the exacting in-app purchases!
