MapQuest on the iPhone, Not Turn by Turn, but Reliable

Over the years I have used MapQuest almost religiously prior to getting a stand alone GPS unit. Now, MapQuest 4 Mobile for by AOL has come to the iPhone. The MapQuest app is quite similar to the Goggle Maps app in my opinion. But there are some differences and nuances such as the ability to use the MapQuest website to create maps/places to download to your iPhone. Overall, the MapQuest 4 Mobile app is obviously not a turn by turn GPS solution, but more of a location based map/search app. With this app you can search for businesses, government buildings, etc with the ability to map and get directions from your search. Many people are comfortable with the web MapQuests simple user interface and that is what makes this iPhone app very popular. MapQuest 4 Mobile is FREE in the iTunes App Store. CM
