Catch colored diamonds as they flow from a faucet in My Diamonds (by bad monkee), a unique iOS Physics Puzzler game featuring 60 levels and 3 themes of various mind-thinking challenges. In this game you’ll help an alien gather his missing diamonds into a bag by placing available items correctly in order to help guide the diamonds into the bag. This game is in the same class of “physics puzzlers” as Cut The Rope and Where’s My Water, yet it stands out with it’s own personality. Part of that personality comes from the back story to this game: an alien had his planet blown up, which oddly consisted of diamonds, leaving him with only 1 thing to do — get his diamonds back.
He does this by transporting himself to “Suburbia” America to a neighborhood near you working his way through the Garden, Garage, and Kitchen game packs, each consisting of 20 levels of puzzle gameplay. Each of these areas has unique items in it like wood blocks in the Garden, blow torches and conveyor belts in the Garage, and lots of traditional household items that you would expect to find in the Kitchen game pack. You’ll use these items to help lead the colored diamonds into the bag. The game can be played level by level unlocking the next after successful completion of the prior, or you can unlock all through in app purchase if you just can’t wait. There are also bonus levels that you can unlock — just follow the simple directions on how to do this.
My Diamonds works on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and played great during my testing on the iPhone. I actually got sucked into this game right away and noticed that there was 1 feature that stood out because I rarely see it in an iOS physics puzzler games — which is the opportunity to move items that you use to help you solve the puzzle. Using a variety of items throughout the levels, the overall objective is to get the diamonds from the faucet into the alien’s bag (on his back). During the gameplay you will be given puzzles to solve, using these various items to guide the diamonds to the anxiously waiting alien — being able to move the items after setting them is a nice feature allowing for real-time changes during an active level when the diamonds are flowing.
You’ll be glad to know that the developers have a FREE version, My Diamonds Lite, which includes 21 levels (for FREE) as a great way to let you check this game out first before downloading the paid $0.99 version. I highly recommend trying this game out if you enjoy high-quality physics puzzlers. I especially like the silly sounds that the alien makes when you fill his bag up with diamonds — he digs this — and maybe you will too.
