NA Flags Live Wallpaper (by Kittehface) is an Android Personalization app that includes a large number of live wallpaper flags for North America, different backgrounds, and the option to upload your own flag. Since yesterday was July 4th, I did an Android video app review for this Android live wallpaper app, and while patriotic and fitting for the occasion, it can be used all year long. We have checked out a lot of Android live wallpaper apps, but this one has got to be one of my all time favorites. Not just because it allows me to have a patriotic symbol on my Android, but there are numerous flags to select from, types of flags and backgrounds on which to fly the flag, and all for only $0.99.
I have seen other live wallpaper apps that offer similar wallpapers but gouge customers for each flag by selling each one through an in app purchase. This live wallpaper app actually gives you the United States of America flag, all 50 states, Mexico, Canada (numerous flags), Greenland, Puerto Rico, and Guam flags. Users can also upload their own flag to fly on their Android device.
This app is supposed to work on all Android devices and tablets in both portrait and landscape mode, but for me it did not work in landscape mode when I tested it on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. After looking through a variety of options, I put the US flag, Tattered, with the Blue Skies background on my device in honor of July 4th, but I am going to leave it on my Galaxy Nexus throughout the year just because it looks so cool. Another added benefit in favor of this Android live wallpaper app is that it had a very low-drain on my battery, probably one of the first Android live wallpaper apps to not be such an energy hog. Although, I’m not sure why it didn’t work for me in landscape mode, NA Flags Live Wallpaper for Android is a great live wallpaper app worth checking out.
