News Hour iPhone App | Push News, Custom News Feeds, Cheap at $0.99…

Some iPhone apps use push notifications better than others. Some iPhone apps have push notification, yet there seems to be no real functionality to this feature. The iPhone app News Hour – Breaking News and Front Page is not one of those “poser” push notification iPhone apps. I have tried several push notification news apps but experienced some poor results from those apps. Either I got too many push notifications, duplicate push notifications from different news sources (same topic), or news items pushed to me that I could care less about. News Hour has done a good job to find a balance between irrelevant push articles and what I want. Basically, all I am looking for is current major news push notifications. I do not want notifications every second and I could care less about what is happening in local Montana news (no offense Montana). There are a bunch of features in this app as follows:

-over 800+ front page newspaper views (not the whole newspaper)
-customizable news feeds
-major news feeds can be subscribed to very easy
-share news articles through Twitter and Email (without leaving app)
-audio/video functionality inside app
-built in dictionary
-ad’s are blocked
-and much more

News Hour is one of several news apps I have on my iPhone and one, which I will be leaving on my iPhone for quite some time. There is a News Hour – FREE iPhone app to test drive this app before purchase. However, you do not get push notifications with this app, but at least you can check out the “guts” of the app. News Hour – Breaking News and Front Page gets 4.5 CrazyMikes heads for app design and the perfect balance of push news.
