I was excited to get the Nexus 10 this week, the next big competitor to the iPad 3rd generation, but my excitement turned to disappointment yesterday when I discovered that the Micro HDMI does not allow for screen capture in our current setup. Thus, it must go back. We had the same unfortunate experience with the Nexus 7, which we also sent back to Google. The Nexus 7 had no HDMI output whatsoever, which is quite strange considering this is not new technology.
A search of Samsung tablets for HDMI output ports seems to be across the board from no ports, micro HDMI, and slimline HDMI, which I had to Google and still could not get a good grasp on what that means. Overall, our Samsung Galaxy is still the best for our screen capture purposes and we are sticking with this device — just cannot seem to find a suitable Google tablet to fit our purposes.
