The Prodigy Kids – Baby Flash Cards iPhone Education app features 400 hand-drawn items (flash cards) for toddlers to identify, spoken audio for each flashcard, and quizzes — all to help very young kids in the early development of learning language skills. Since young minds are receptive little sponges, there’s no better time than when your child is a baby or toddler to introduce them to fun language learning methods — that is, if you’re interested in giving them a leg up on the other kids — helping them towards the path of becoming a prodigy — perhaps? The Google definition of prodigy is as follows: “A person, esp. a young one, endowed with exceptional qualities or abilities.” As parents, we all want the best for our kids.
You can start by downloading this FREE iPhone Education app with loads of free, and some paid (through in app purchase) flash card content. The flash cards cover topics like colors, numbers, concepts, things that go, beach, waves, and a whole lot more. There are 2 main learning game modes to this app, Flash Cards where kids practice hearing and seeing the flash card as it is spoken to them: see the item and the words for each item. The Quiz Mode is where babies and toddlers can have their knowledge tested through a series of multiple choice flash card questions (for the flash cards they have been learning). There are a variety of settings to adjust on how the cards are seen (alphabetically, least seen, or random), how many cards before a reward is provided, and what flash card packs users want to use. The reward in this learning game is some fun time with a very likable puppy who slides down slides, eats fruit, blows kisses, and more — which is a great break during the learning lessons for young kids to have a little extra fun before refocusing on the next set of flashcards.
I found this young kids’ learning app to be colorful and appealing and focused on exactly what it was designed to do — which is to introduce and teach babies/toddlers early about a large variety of items in a very stress free and engaging way using audio and visual prompts. The developers have also done a fantastic job of keeping the app simple and limiting the navigation paths that could potentially take children out of the app. There are also very few in app buttons. Prodigy Kids – Baby Flash Cards may or may not make your child a prodigy, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction — and you can try this app for free.
