The iPad talking app Gulf Talk is a Middle Eastern political satire app that lets you create your own :30 second videos. This app comes complete with a variety of pre-made video expressions, ability to input your own voice recordings, and the option to share your video creations with others. This free app comes with a standard host and guest for free, both apparently of Arabic culture. There are additional personalities that can be unlocked through in app purchase (IAP), mostly iconic Arabic leaders, a few high profile US politicians, and others which give users the opportunity to have some creative fun at the expense of the provided characters.

The user interface for this app is truly user friendly and the only delay I experienced on my part was thinking up my own imaginative storyline to creative a funny video story. Here’s how it works: the scene setting is a talk show where you have a host and guest. Once you select your host and guest, you begin to add video expressions along with your own audio to fit each video clip. You will find that some video expressions have moving mouths and some don’t, so you’ll have to work this aspect into your awesome story line.
Once your video creation is complete you can share currently only to your photo gallery, but YouTube and Facebook integration are in development. Your lack of imagination is your only true limitation when it comes to implementing these animated story lines for your Gulf Talk talk show. All this talking app needs for it to become a big hit in the US iTunes App Store is iconic US characters and YouTube/Facebook share functionality, which the developer is currently working on.
