2×2=4 Awesome Kids’ Math Learning Game for iPad/iPhone

Learning math for most kids is not a fun task at all, but the new iOS universal app, 2×2=4 (by Aplemakh Bros) makes math learning quite enjoyable. This education iPad app teaches kids their multiplication and division tables from the numbers 2 to 9. The game challenges kids to figure out multiplication or division problems literally under the gun. The player has a pirate ship and the computer (or AI) another, and they face each other in a dual scenario. An equation pops up and each correct answer fills the player’s cannon with red. Once the cannon is completely red, a shot is fired. While the player is filling his or her cannon the enemy AI is hard at work doing the same. A wrong answer produces a friendly “ahem” and requires the user to keep working to get the right answer. This method is definitely a fun way to learn and when you win you’ll get a special surprise. iPad App Developers Description

We offer special price of $0.99 for a limited time till 15 October! Standard price will be $2.99.

There is a period in a school life, when one has to learn the multiplication table. My son was not an exception and did not avoid the fate.

We began to study the table the same old way: turned a notebook and started to learn.
Obviously this is a boring way, which went out of date. First of all it requires parents’ patience: it is difficult to test the own child for knowledge of the table several times a day. Sometimes there is simply not time for this.
It was easy for me to find the decision of the problem- to write a trainer, which will make the learning of the table more interesting for a child. The set of options will be the cannon balls. The number of correct answers will be a shot at a pirate. If you think for a long time, then the pirate shoots at you. Apparently the phrases like ”Dad, today I shot a pirate at a complicates level” are better than dull phrases “Today I learned the multiplication table till 5”.

-Two kinds of arithmetic operations: multiplication and division
-A built-in multiplication table for learning
-3 levels of the level of complexity(the speed of shooting at pirate is raising or lowering)
-Two types for answer entering: by figures and by multiple choice
-The history of already played games can be saved in order to trace the progress
-The possibility to choose the range of the derived equations

The application is made for iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad.
Requirements for iOS: 3.2 and above

Known limitations
On iPhone models 3G and earlier game operates without animation due lack of device memory.

The sound effects of the site per license (Creative Commons Sampling Plus 1.0 License) were used for application.
