Mobile Florist App Finds FTD Florists For Same Day Flower Delivery!

iPad Lifestyle App Review for the Mobile Florist App

If you find yourself in a pinch and need to send flowers fast, the Mobile Florist app makes it a cinch to send fresh flowers, floral arrangements, fruit baskets, plants and more to anywhere in the US and Canada right from the palm of your hand. And with this simple iPhone or iPad Lifestyle app, that includes Same Day Delivery.

But even if you don’t need to have flowers delivered today, it’s nice to know that you have that option. For most occasions, you have plenty of time to plan ahead and send flowers for your upcoming events and holidays. But some flower giving occasions are harder to plan for since they happen on short notice and require you to act immediately: arrival on new baby, death of someone you know, promotion of friend, family, or co-worker; or maybe a last minute dinner date.

And of course, if you’re like most busy people that important date you thought you’d always remember somehow got forgotten until the day it arrived. That forgotten date might be your wedding anniversary, spouse’s birthday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or even that day in April when you should thank the business professionals who keep you and your office running smoothly – Administrative Professionals Day.

Mobile Florist App Features

And whether you prefer to send roses, carnations, lilies, orchids, tulips or other fine choices, you know you’re in good hands with a flower delivery app that relies on a network of 15,000 FTD approved flower shops nationwide (and in Canada). The Mobile Florist app and their app description tout Mobile Florist as a leader in mobile device floral ordering and delivery, having delivered 1 million flowers.

Since FTD (Florists’ Transwire Delivery) has a large group of preferred florists in its network, your chances of getting quality flowers delivered from a reputable flower shop to your recipient are very good. The secret to FTD’s success is using the best local florists in your recipient’s area to ensure quality and freshness of flowers being delivered. Using local florists also helps to make sure your chosen gift is delivered on time, and in most cases that means the same day.

However, deliveries are only made Monday – Saturday. There is no Sunday delivery. And if you’re hoping to get same day delivery, you’ll need to place your order by a specific time (1:00 PM in recipient’s time zone), which may require an even earlier cutoff time during peak holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, Easter, etc. One other thing you’ll want to know is that normal delivery is between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM – so don’t procrastinate if you can help it.

What’s Inside

The Mobile Florist app may not have the most elegant of designs but it’s still appealing, quick and easy to use. The user interface makes it very simple to find what you’re looking for. That’s because the developer has done a great job of categorizing items by product or event. You’ll find this starting on the main screen with a few icon graphics for: Most Popular, Valentine’s, Flowers, Roses, Under $50, and Browse All (lots of categories). Even accessing help and other relevant information is just a tap away.

When viewing items under the Most Popular category, I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide assortment of items for different occasions. There are vases of flowers, flower baskets, fruit baskets, plants in baskets, center pieces, floral sprays, balloons and flower baskets, and Happy Birthday Balloons only. The $42+ for a balloon bouquet of 6 latex balloons and 2 mylar type balloons was a bit of a shocker.

However, the overall quality and variety of arrangements and products in the Mobile Florist app are impressive. I wouldn’t say the prices are the cheapest out there but there is some peace of mind knowing that you’re working with a company brand (FTD) that has been in business since 1910.

Other Important Details

The Mobile Florist app accepts major credit cards for payment, which include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. You should also know that a service fee of $12.99 is added per order.

One fear we all have is ordering one thing and getting something else. If you’re worried about substitutions, Mobile Florists claims that they only do that when necessary to ensure that your arrangement can be delivered on time, stating that it doesn’t affect the type, size or shape of the original arrangement ordered.

The Mobile Florist app does have a satisfaction guarantee policy that states that if you’re not happy with the item delivered, they’ll pick up and replace it, pick up and refund your money, or allow you to keep delivered product and get a partial credit. But to take advantage of these claims, you’ll need to contact them within 3 days of delivery with your complaint. One other thing I should point out is that customer service is only available Monday – Saturday, 9am – 5pm EST.

iPad Flower Delivery App Review for Mobile Florist

Although I haven’t personally used this iOS flower delivery app, I do plan to use it in the near future. The overall user ratings in the iTunes App Store for the last updated version are pretty good, overall 4 stars out of 5 stars rating on the most current version. However, there were a couple of unhappy users that complained about a wrong floral arrangement delivered, and the inability to deliver the flowers same day due to high volume. You’ll have to use this iOS Universal app yourself to determine your level of satisfaction.

Overall Thoughts

Sending flowers for all occasions has been a long-standing tradition in our society, so the practicality of this flower delivery app speaks for itself. The Mobile Florist app is a useful app that will come in handy for a lot of people, from the business professional to the stay-at-home mom or dad. That also includes anyone else who wants the ease and convenience of ordering flowers from his or her iPhone or iPad.
